Google Cloud Print is a web service offered by Google which enables any app (web, mobile, desktop) on any device to print to any cloud-connected printer. You can associate printers with your Google Account. Printers are treated in much the same way as documents are in Google Docs. Now its become very easy to share printers with your coworkers, friends, and family anywhere in the world without any physical connections.

Most of the printers we are using today are non – cloud printers which are connected directly to PCs via USB cable as well as networked printers (Ethernet or WiFi). While some printers are also “web connected,” but they are not Cloud Ready printers, because they do not have the ability to directly communicate with a cloud print service to fetch print jobs.

Google cloud print works well with many different apps and many more added regularly.

Advantages of Cloud print:

  • Safe and Secure – Documents are deleted from servers once printing is complete. Google sometimes stores info about the print job, but not the content of the document.
  • Enterprise ready – Use Google cloud print to replace your printing infrastructure.
  • Easy Sharing – You can share your printer with trusted individuals.
  • Works with Google apps – If you use Gmail or Drive, you can print Docs, Photos, emails, documents, spreadsheets, and other files.
