Gmail does not have a specific “unread messages” folder or filter, but you can easily check your unread messages by using the “is:unread” search operator in Gmail. Here’s how you can do it:

1. Open Gmail: Go to the Gmail website (https://mail.google.com) and log in to your account if you haven’t already.

2. Use the Search Bar: At the top of the Gmail interface, you’ll see a search bar. Click on it to activate it.

3. Enter the Search Operator: In the search bar, type “is:unread” (without quotes) and press Enter. This search operator will filter your messages to show only unread ones.

4. View Unread Messages: Gmail will now display all your unread messages. You can click on any of these messages to read them or perform actions on them.

5. Clear the Search: If you want to return to your regular inbox view, simply click the “x” button in the search bar, or you can click on the “Inbox” label in the left sidebar.
